I first heard This Sporting Life in the early 1990's while living in Adelaide - just really enjoyed their approach to humour - Australian larrikin but anti-ocker - I love their word pictures and cant and how they make the very ordinary funny. As I was working in my shed each Saturday with grinders and welders etc I used to record their show and play back at quieter times - I've found a big box of cassettes of their TSL show on JJJ - I'm starting to digitize them for my own enjoyment but have three of the very best segments I want to Youtube. This one is just great - discussing in all seriousness their indignation of changing the traditional Kangaroos Rugby League jerseys worn in the 1992 Kangaroos vs English Lions Test to something like those horrible loud moving advertisement shirts the NRL wear today.
